And that's where high pass filter comes handy!!! Notice that distortion? A lot of frequencies overlap, resulting in a muddy mix. High-pass EVERYTHING so that you have a clearer sound, that's my tip!!

You could EQ and counter-EQ for more clearity.

At all a solid song, but lacks good mixing.

vai90 responds:

Thx for the advice!

Yeah, right...

You should use that as the build-up, not the main melody! Could be nice.

No complaint about the mastering. Clear and distinct. Good job!

But I would LOVE to see an attempt at something more "coherent", something that doesn't need any mixing AT ALL to sound good (ex. Elegancia), or... MAEH!!! (or not)

Anyhow, good job on that!

BowserThedestructive responds:

...nothing doesn't ever electronic really can never go without the need of being mixed. Every single song you have ever heard even if it was recorded live was and has gone through some mixing stages to sound good. The only stuff that sounds "good" without mixing is the songs that are trained for and preformed by live performers without speakers or microphones or amps which also go through a mixing stage. But glad you liked it. My next track will hopefully be more coherent.

Your bass line seems weird... not sure if that was the best choice :P

Use those automations!!! Your track seems static, so make some variation in the intensity, not just on the notes themselves.

Other than that, music is catchy. Good job!

Genecros responds:

Thanks for reviewing! I'm glad you think the music is catchy, and I appreciate your feedback!

Definitively better than your previous one :P just kidding!

So, yeah, pretty flawless here, -0.5 because of the ending (fade out... but twitchy! not that bad, BUT...)

Good job!

Directinput responds:

ill agree. I was experimenting with the fade out on this one. Didn't turn out like i planned XD

...

That note is STILL TICKING ME!!! But a lil' bit less!

Fade in +fade out... feeling lazy there?? :P

... Oh, that's right, stfu...

...

Cahzmana responds:

yes fade in and fade out.
i was bored and lazy and i needed my partner to work on the song.
so there lol.

Yes, you could have compressed it, but I'll take as it is :P

Cannot see any flaw... exept if you want me to sound like a jerk :P There ARE some things ticking me, but they are so small and insignificant that you could easily go without, because it sounds awesome as-is!

Things ticking me:

First time I hear it without the high-pitch main riff!
Somehow different... weird :P

Lacks of punch and clarity in the kick, mabe try boosting high-mid and high-end a little bit.

Good job, keep it up!

RobSoundtrack responds:

Thanks for the continued reviewage, Zaal!

You know what?? There's always something sounding bizzare, limit wrong in your tracks. Master is ok as usual, now can you try to make something coherent??

For the loop, select "wrap remainder", it'll help.

BowserThedestructive responds:

You never seem never not misunderstand...

The song was already rendered with wrap remainder.. but how I made the song is why it is not able to perfectly loop but to me it loops pretty fine. My misunderstanding to you is what do you mean by something sounding bizarre "limit" wrong in my tracks." your sentence does not make sense. I produce with very good VSTs, also this is coherent. In my eyes its PURE EXPRESSION OF SOUND. Now that's not to say to I am not working to produce coherent tracks but this is was a spur of the moment track. If you think something is wrong in a track in which I do not hear even with the studio headphones I have, be more specific and more detailed ;). Because I am starting to think its your speaker/output is what is making you hear something that I do not...
